BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Dr Saliba Sassine, Non-Executive Chairman

Dr Sassine is an experienced biotechnology entrepreneur and executive and has been instrumental in originating, developing and launching biotechnology and biomedical ventures. He founded Helicon Group.

He was founding CEO of Biotech International Ltd (now Agenix Ltd) and led that company into international markets and grew it through a series of mergers and acquisitions. Dr Sassine was originator and foundation Chairman of Phylogica Ltd, a functional proteomics company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Currently, Dr Sassine is Chairman of Allegra Capital Pty Ltd, a boutique investment advisory firm that provides funding facilitation, strategic advice and management services to creative business enterprises and entrepreneurs.

Peter Abrahamson, CEO and Managing Director

Mr Abrahamson is a senior pharmaceutical industry executive with eight years experience as Managing Director and Regional Vice President of major subsidiaries of the multinational pharmaceutical group Allergan Inc. and its spin-off, AMO Inc.

Based in Hong Kong, Mr Abrahamson led Allergan’s East Asian market commercialisation of Botox™ and ophthalmic pharmaceutical products into China and most other Asian markets. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Allergan in Australia.

Before taking his appointment with Allergan, Mr Abrahamson was Director of Business Development for Faulding Pharmaceuticals (now Mayne) and prior to that he was Marketing Manager for Wellcome Australia Ltd. Mr Abrahamson brings a wealth of industry knowledge and regional experience to Helicon.

Dr Chris Brown, Non-Executive Director

Dr Brown is a qualified accountant with a Doctorate in Business Administration (commercialisation of intellectual property). He is a director of William Buck (WA) Pty Ltd, a member firm of the William Buck National and AGN International accounting and business advisory groups with a presence in more than 80 countries.

He is also a director of GN Solutions Pte Ltd, an Asian focused specialist business connectivity and investment facilitation group.

Dr Brown specialises in the structuring of intellectual property transactions, financial structuring, corporate and strategic advice. He is a director of a number of companies, including the London AIM listed Palandri Wines.

He also advises many corporations and high net worth individuals in China and has been conducting business in that country for many years.

Dr Arthur Emmett, Non-Executive Director

Dr Emmett brings over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the USA, Asia and Europe with particular recent experience in the Chinese market. He received a medical degree at Sydney University in 1959.

He was Medical Director of the Australian affiliates of G.D. Searle, Parke Davis and W.S. Merrell.

Dr Emmett spent the next 20 years with Ciba Geigy (now Novartis). In 1983 he was appointed Business Head North America, UK and the Nordic area based in Switzerland and in 1988 was made Head of Worldwide Medical Affairs. In 1989 he was appointed Senior Vice-President, Medical and Public Affairs, based in the USA and in 1994 was appointed President and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Beijing Ciba Geigy Pharma Limited.

Since 1997 Dr Emmett has periodically acted as a health care consultant in China. He brings to the Board a wealth of experience in running pharmaceutical businesses in China.

Dr Emmett also has a wealth of experience in drug development, the management of global pharmaceutical companies and has extensive experience as a Non-Executive Director of biotechnology companies. He is Chairman of the Asthma & Airway Co-Operative Research Centre.

MANAGEMENT

Graeme R Boden, Company Secretary and CFO

Mr. Boden is an experienced business executive with more than 25 years in senior corporate or financial roles, particularly in the planning and evaluation function of the resources industry and in the finance and administration function of a range of industries. He has more than 20 years experience as a Director or Secretary of ASX listed companies.

Dr Chen Qi, Sales and Marketing Director - China

Dr Chen is an experienced senior pharmaceutical executive in China and has previously worked as Manager, New Product Planning with Eli Lilly Asia, Marketing Business Unit Manager, China for Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals Ltd and most recently General Manager of the Antivirus Branch Company of the Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group.

Dr Chen holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Medicine (Major in Biomedical Engineering) Degrees from Henan Medical University and Shanghai Medical University respectively. He also holds a Management qualification from the prestigious China Europe Business School (CEIBS).

In his role as Sales and Marketing Director for Helicon, Dr Chen is responsible for the deployment and management of Helicon’s national sales and marketing team as well as the development and implementation of competitive strategies to achieve profitable sales and market penetration of Helicon’s products.

Aleksandra Gajda, Stakeholder Relations Manager

Ms Gajda has completed a Bachelor of Mass Communication (Major in Public Relations, Marketing and Journalism) at Curtin University of Technology.

Her key function will be to ensure that the company’s stakeholders are kept up to date with ongoing developments as Helicon implements its ambitious growth plans.

Ms Gajda will create and execute effective communication strategies that aim to maximise stakeholder support.

Anita

Anita Wehrli, Business Development Manager

Ms Wehrli has held a number of key business development and client relations roles within the healthcare, mining and agricultural sectors, most recently as Business Development Manager of Visiomed.

She holds a Bachelor of International Business (Major in Marketing and Management) and a Master of Business Administration (Major in International Business- China), both from Murdoch University in Western Australia.

Ms Wehrli’s role revolves around identifying and liaising with potential product partners during negotiations for the exclusive rights for the Chinese and other North Asian markets.
