Helicon has identified specific needs for innovative Western technologies and the associated quality at major hospitals in the larger Chinese cities.
There are almost 68,000 hospitals in China. There are approximately 1,200 Level III hospitals and 12,900 Level II hospitals.
Level III hospitals are major teaching hospitals providing specialist care and have in excess of 500 beds, offer a full and comprehensive range of medical services including major surgery, are well equipped, and are generally teaching and research hospitals. Level II hospitals have more than 250 beds and offer a comprehensive range of medical services, including surgery.
